Yule log: a chocolate recipe for the holidays

INGREDIENTS:
Preparation of the chocolate and speculoos log for 6 to 8 people: 20 min. Rest: 5 h + 10 min. Cooking: 5 min.

The ingredients to prepare the Christmas log
300g coconut oil
200g of dark chocolate + 20g for the shavings
200g of praline chocolate (praline type)
100g milk chocolate
150g praline (toasted hazelnut pieces)
Twenty speculoos cookies
1 C. cinnamon
Utensil
1 25cm cake pan


DIRECTIONS:


The Chocolate Yule Log Recipe
Break the 3 chocolates into pieces in a salad bowl. Add the coconut oil and melt everything in a double boiler, stirring regularly. Remove from heat as soon as a mixture is obtained
smooth and homogeneous. Add the cinnamon and the praline, mix well.
Line the cake pan with cling film. Pour a layer of chocolate at the bottom, about 1cm thick. Gently place a layer of speculoos cookies on top. Cover with a second layer of chocolate. Repeat the operation until all the ingredients are used up, alternating chocolate and speculoos.
Reserve at least 5 hours in the refrigerator.
Shortly before serving, turn the log over onto a serving platter. Unmold it carefully and remove the cling film. Decorate with dark chocolate shavings and wait 10 min before serving. To facilitate cutting, moisten a long knife with a cloth passed under hot water and wrung well.
